Joining us this month: Melbourne’s iconic Above Board.

Founded in 2016 by Hayden Lambert and Manu Potoi, Above Board has become one of Australia’s most respected cocktail bars — known for thoughtful drinks, warm hospitality, and their signature touch of “bad banter”.

Located in Collingwood, the award-winning bar is built on the philosophy that great hospitality doesn’t require excess. With a minimalist approach and an intense focus on guest experience, Above Board has earned an international reputation for precision, consistency, and quietly confident service.

Recognised by The World’s 50 Best Bars, Above Board reached No. 44 in 2021 and returned to the extended 51–100 list at No. 100 in 2024, alongside previous rankings in 2018 and 2020.

At the core of the bar is the idea of “simplexity” — balancing simplicity and complexity through cocktails rooted in classic foundations while remaining flexible, personal, and expressive.

For one night only, the team from Above Board — Paige Chabert and Jayda O'Shea — will be bringing their refined approach to cocktails and hospitality to Truth or Dare.
